A new trailer for the anime "Sekiro: No Defeat" has appeared on the official KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel. The video is dedicated to one of Wolf's main adversaries in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice — Isshin Ashina's grandson, Genichiro Ashina.
Preparing for the inevitable invasion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Genichiro tries to seize Kuro's Divine Heritage and gain the power to save his homeland. For the sake of protecting the Ashina lands, the warrior is ready to resort to forbidden practices and sacrifice his own humanity.
Genichiro is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, who returns to his role from the original game. Previously, personal trailers were released for the shinobi Wolf and his master Kuro, the Divine Heir. They are once again voiced by Daisuke Namikawa and Miyuki Sato, respectively.
"Sekiro: No Defeat" adapts the story of the action-adventure game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice by FromSoftware. Animation is handled by Qzil.la studio, and Ken'ichi Kutsuna is the director. The script was written by Takuya Sato, character design is by Takahiro Kishida, and Takashi Mukoda supervises the staging of fight scenes.
The Japanese theatrical release starts on September 4 and will run for three weeks. Later, the anime will appear on Crunchyroll in most countries worldwide, but the exact digital release date is still unknown.
