Suitcase with PlayStation 5: Samara Weaving, cast as Emma Frost, turns out to be an avid gamer

News 1

After the news of Samara Weaving's casting as Emma Frost in the X-Men reboot, fans recalled old interviews where the actress spoke about her love for video games.

In a conversation with IGN, Weaving named Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Redemption, Hogwarts Legacy, and Mortal Kombat among her favorite series. The actress particularly enjoys open-world games that allow her to freely explore locations and choose her own activities.

When traveling, Weaving doesn't limit herself to portable devices. The actress admitted that she takes her PlayStation 5 to every shoot, despite the console's size and weight:

"I take my PlayStation 5 in a suitcase to every job, and it's insane. It takes up half the suitcase, no one can lift it, and everyone hates me. But I take it to every house and hotel I stay in."

As a child, Weaving's parents didn't allow her to play, so she got acquainted with video games at friends' houses. The actress quickly mastered fighting games:

"Surprisingly, I quickly became good at Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. I can beat many people in Mortal Kombat. I don't know why — that game just suits me. Especially the girl with the fans, Kitana. I play very well as her. She's my favorite character."

However, Weaving did not say whether she had ever played Marvel Rivals, where her future character is already featured.
