Rosamund Pike may play Ryan Gosling's Ghost Rider love interest - insider

News 1

Rosamund Pike may join Ryan Gosling in the "Ghost Rider" movie. According to insider Jeff Sneider, Marvel Studios is considering the "Gone Girl" star for the role of Johnny Blaze's love interest.

Sneider did not specify which character Pike might play. Blaze's most famous love interest in the comics is Roxanne Simpson, who was played by Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling's wife, in the 2007 film adaptation. However, there is no information yet that Marvel plans to bring this character back.

Earlier, Sneider reported that Ryan Gosling will portray Johnny Blaze, not Danny Ketch or Robbie Reyes. According to the insider, the character will first appear in "Avengers: Secret Wars," after which he will get his own film.

Shawn Levy is directing "Ghost Rider," and Jonathan Tropper is writing the screenplay. The film is set to premiere in 2028.
