A new character trailer for "Sekiro: No Defeat" has appeared on the KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel. The fourth video in the series is dedicated to Emma – a healer and one of Wolf's closest allies.
In the original Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the character serves Isshin Ashina and helps the shinobi understand the nature of the Divine Heritage. She gives Wolf a healing gourd, upgrades it, and seeks a way to cure people afflicted by Dragonrot. Emma is also skilled in swordsmanship, though she prefers not to demonstrate her abilities until a certain point.
The character is once again voiced by Shizuka Ito, who performed this role in the FromSoftware game. Previously, separate trailers were released for Wolf, the Divine Heir Kuro, and Genichiro Ashina. Daisuke Namikawa, Miyuki Sato, and Kenjiro Tsuda returned to their roles, respectively.
The cast also includes Jin Urayama as the Sculptor, Akimitsu Takase as Hanbei the Undying, Takaya Hashi as the Owl, and Tetsuo Kana as Isshin Ashina. It is possible that some of these characters will also receive personal trailers in the remaining month before the premiere.
"Sekiro: No Defeat" will adapt the plot of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice into a fully hand-drawn 2D animation format. The production is handled by Qzil.la studio, Ken'ichi Kutsuna is the director, Takuya Sato wrote the script, and Takashi Mukoda is in charge of battle scene direction. The main musical theme will be Ryuichi Sakamoto's composition "Blu".
The limited theatrical release of the anime in Japan will begin on September 4, 2026, and will last for three weeks. Later, "Sekiro: No Defeat" will appear on Crunchyroll in most countries worldwide, but the digital premiere date has not yet been announced.
