11 bit studios and Digital Sun announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will leave early access on September 2. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), and will also be immediately added to the Game Pass catalog.
Simultaneously with the release date announcement, the developers released a demo, which is already available on all announced platforms.
Version 1.0 will conclude the game's main storyline and add a large amount of new content.
Among the key new features of the final release are new types of weapons and armor, as well as Bomb Path — a combat skill that causes enemies to explode after taking enough hits, damaging nearby opponents.
The developers have also expanded the capabilities of the main character Will's shop. After maximum upgrades, players will be able to unlock additional slots for Bloblet, get new cosmetic items, and even more options for furnishing the town of Tresna.
After completing the main campaign, players will unlock the Infinite Endless Vault mode — an endless challenge with gradually increasing difficulty and valuable rewards. For those who love the ultimate challenge, Hardcore mode is available: death in the dungeon means losing all progress and having to start the playthrough from the very beginning.
