According to insider Attack The Backlog, Ubisoft is preparing a re-announcement of Beyond Good & Evil 2, but the project will be presented under a different name.
The official demonstration may allegedly take place at one of the gaming events before the end of the year. Most likely, the announcement will be made as part of The Game Awards 2026.
In addition, according to the informant, the game is being developed on a highly scalable engine, thanks to which Ubisoft will be able to release the project on several platforms at once. In particular, a version for Nintendo Switch 2 is expected, which should be possible without serious compromises in performance.
The last official statement on the game came in early 2026, when the project's creative director, Fawzi Mesmar, confirmed that the development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 was continuing, and the team "remains focused on creating an outstanding game". This statement came after a major restructuring of Ubisoft, during which several projects were canceled, but Beyond Good & Evil 2, according to the company, was not cut.
