Apex Legends topped the Steam best-selling games chart, surpassing Counter-Strike 2 - the surge in interest is due to the start of the new Marked season.

Respawn Entertainment, known for Titanfall 2 and Star Wars Jedi, has once again achieved success. Since August 4, Apex Legends has held the top spot on Steam's best-selling games list, even surpassing Counter-Strike 2.

Just yesterday, Apex Legends' peak online concurrent players on Steam exceeded 290,000. The free-to-play shooter is also popular on consoles.

The main reason for the surge in interest was the launch of the new Marked season. Its key feature was a major rework of the legend Bloodhound. Respawn also made balance changes to Loba, Rampart, Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer.

The developers showcased all the main innovations in the new gameplay trailer for the season.

Big Walk also continues to hold high positions on Steam. The game recently joined the PlayStation Plus catalog.
