Not Just Multiplayer. Capcom Data Dispelled a Popular Myth About Young Gamers
Capcom shared interesting statistics about the age of its new games' audience during a Q&A session.
According to Capcom data, about half of the players of Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem are people aged 20 to 29. The statistics sparked active discussion among players and showed that the Japanese company successfully attracts a young audience and effectively refreshes the fanbase of its series.
This age group is particularly important for publishers: people aged 20-29 already have their own income, and they still have enough time for video games.
The result for Resident Evil Requiem is especially noteworthy. The Resident Evil series is already 30 years old, which means that the new installment is actively played by people who are younger than the franchise itself.
Such statistics serve as further proof: even young players are still eager to choose single-player story-driven games, and not just multiplayer projects.
