Kingpin and Daredevil were considered for an appearance in the film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". This was revealed by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige in a conversation with journalist Josh Horowitz.
Feige was asked if the involvement of Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock was discussed in the early stages of the film's creation. The Marvel executive confirmed that the creators considered such options:
"As always, there are certain issues that need to be resolved. At some point, we discussed all these characters."
Feige's words contradict previous statements by Vincent D'Onofrio. The actor who plays Kingpin claimed that Marvel could only use his character in TV series due to a complicated rights situation:
"It's very difficult for Marvel to use my character because of rights and ownership issues. As far as I understand, right now I can only appear in TV series. Even a separate film about Fisk cannot be made. Everything is tied to rights, and I don't know if it will ever be resolved."
Feige did not disclose what agreements would be required for Kingpin to appear in a feature film. However, his comment shows that legal restrictions at least did not prevent Marvel from considering such an option for "Brand New Day". Therefore, the possibility of Fisk and Murdock appearing in future films still remains.
