Sadie Sink has confirmed she will return as Jean Grey in the upcoming "X-Men" reboot. The actress is already discussing the character's future with director Jake Schreier and participating in joint auditions with potential team members:
"There are certain characters where it's important to see if you have chemistry, so to speak. That will always be part of the process."
Sink did not reveal who she auditioned with and declined to confirm previously rumored names of possible team members. However, the actress already knows when filming will begin, although she has not yet received the script:
"I know when it's happening, and that's good. The situation reminds me of 'Stranger Things': you understand that there's another season ahead, but you don't know the exact plan yet and haven't received the scripts. There's only a general idea of where everything is heading. I'm very familiar with this approach."
The new "X-Men" is expected to premiere in 2028. Rumor has it that Marvel might unveil the main cast on August 15 at D23, but the studio has not yet confirmed such an announcement.
