Sister introduced her brother to Red Dead Redemption 2 and deeply regretted it - he started playing the game "incorrectly"
A connoisseur of dynamic shooters doesn't follow the story.
Playing a game together doesn't always lead to good experiences. Recently, a Red Dead Redemption 2 fan decided to introduce her brother to the Rockstar Games title and soon shared her traumatic experience with other fans of the project.
According to _Imal_, she "regretted" suggesting her 29-year-old brother play RDR 2 — he's playing the game differently than she expected. The gamer simply moved forward, skipped cutscenes, ignored side content and random events along the way. After several chapters, he couldn't even name the characters:
[My brother] skips cutscenes, doesn't stop for random events, doesn't read Arthur's journal, and ignores side quests. I was curious to see Arthur with low honor, because I only play him with high honor myself (knowing my brother, I was sure he'd have low honor). We started chapter four, and he doesn't even know the characters' names.
During a conversation with other community members, _Imal_ said that her brother is a Call of Duty fan; and clarified that they get along great, even though they are "complete opposites":
I never recommended any game to my brother because we are opposites in everything (but we get along great). I just hoped he would be at least a little interested in what particularly hooked me — in this case, Red Dead Redemption 2. In the spirit of: "Let's see why she likes this game." And since he now lives in another city, and we rarely see each other. I hoped that playing RDR 2 together would be a pleasant activity while he's home on vacation (he plays on my computer).
Other members of the Red Dead Redemption 2 community shared their experiences with the game. Some noted the slow start of the game, and also admitted that they also did not read Arthur's journal — for example, among such people was user Abim1977, who earned all achievements and played 1000 hours. He expressed the opinion that "Rockstar greatly spoiled the game by making it slow and boring at the start" and added that he would not have played RDR 2 if he hadn't known the development studio.
