Aaron Pierre spoke about his impressions of working on the film "Star Wars: Starfighter". In an interview with GQ, the actor, who plays one of the roles, admitted that the massive sets allowed him to truly immerse himself in the atmosphere of a galaxy far, far away:
"They literally build entire worlds that you can walk through, touch everything, go inside and climb. Even the dirt is real!"
Pierre became a fan of the franchise at the age of five. In 1999, a family acquaintance took him to "The Phantom Menace" while his parents were at work. That trip made such an impression on him that he still remembers even the bus he took home.
"Star Wars: Starfighter" is being directed by "Deadpool & Wolverine" director Shawn Levy from a screenplay by Jonathan Tropper. The film's events will unfold approximately five years after the end of "Skywalker. The Rise of Skywalker", but it will be a standalone story, unrelated to the Skywalker Saga.
Who Aaron Pierre is playing has not yet been revealed. Ryan Gosling, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Amy Adams, Flynn Gray, Simon Bird, Jamil Westman, and Daniel Ings will also star in the film. The premiere is scheduled for May 28, 2027.
