Marvel is preparing a series in the spirit of "True Detective" - insider

Marvel Television is developing a detective series for Disney+ in the spirit of "True Detective." Insider Jeff Sneider revealed this during a new episode of The Hot Mic podcast.

Sneider did not disclose the main character, plot, or team composition, but fans are already linking the project to Jessica Jones, who works as a private detective and runs Alias Investigations. Krysten Ritter recently reprised her role as the character in the series "Daredevil: Born Again," and in the third season, Marvel will bring Luke Cage and Iron Fist back to screens. Therefore, the new detective project could theoretically unite Alias Investigations and "Heroes for Hire," although such information has not yet appeared even at the rumor level.

DC Studios has already prepared a similar experiment. The series "Lanterns," which premieres on HBO on August 17, is also compared to "True Detective." In it, Hal Jordan and John Stewart investigate a murder in rural America, gradually discovering the crime's connection to a larger cosmic intrigue threatening the entire universe.

In the same episode, Sneider mentioned another mysterious Marvel project, filming for which is planned to begin in February. In production documents, it goes by the working title, sounding like Ahmed Stone or Amit Stone. The consonance with the name of the mutant Ahmed Abdol, known as the Living Monolith, has given rise to theories about the project's connection to the future "X-Men" reboot.

Marvel has not yet announced this project, but new information about the seventh phase, named "The Mutant Saga," is expected to be revealed at D23, which will take place from August 14 to 16.
