Insider MyTimeToShineHello reported that Dave Bautista has been cast in a new project set in the Star Wars universe. She did not disclose details, so it is currently unknown whether it is a feature film or a series. Disney and Lucasfilm have not commented on the information.
The actor is also reportedly in contention for another major role. According to Variety, Bautista is in talks to join the God of War series, where he might play Kratos. He is expected to replace Ryan Hurst, who withdrew from the project after a serious biceps injury and subsequent surgery. Hurst's recovery could take up to a year, so the creators decided not to delay production and find a new lead actor.
If both deals go through, Bautista will join two major franchises almost simultaneously. As of now, his involvement has not been officially confirmed for either Star Wars or God of War.
