Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has joined the television adaptation of Payday as an executive producer. The rapper will work on the series through his company G-Unit Film & Television.
Jackson aims to turn Payday into a massive franchise and expand the possibilities of the heist story genre:
"G-Unit Film & TV has a track record of creating cinematic crime stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. We are excited to partner with Vice Studios to bring Payday to the screen and create a massive, high-energy franchise that will push the boundaries of the heist genre."
Jackson has previously worked on crime projects as a producer. He serves as an executive producer for the “Power” franchise and the drama BMF. Additionally, the rapper played Balrog in the upcoming Street Fighter adaptation, set to be released on October 16, 2026.
Production is also handled by Vice Studios and the original game developers from Starbreeze Entertainment. Starbreeze believes that 50 Cent's team's experience aligns with the spirit of the game series:
