The Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game team has already shown gamers miniatures of the Warboss, Trukk, and Boyz, but Games Workshop also has other Ork fighters it is ready to showcase.
Today, the developers unveiled a new Nob set, full of customization options, as well as a set with Ork Bikers. Nobs are a classic part of any proper Ork army. They are brutal, scarred veterans who have survived years of battles. They are larger, tougher, and meaner than regular Boyz, and they have access to cool gear.
The first set allows you to assemble five Nobs with custom choppas – a melee weapon profile that includes all kinds of power klaws, power fists, and big choppas. If desired, they can be enhanced with a lot of specialized equipment. The set also includes three Gretchin carrying spare guns and ammunition.
Ork Warbikes are the purest expression of the Speed Freeks' love for the saddle: fast, noisy, and packed with a huge amount of firepower. The new set is an updated version of the classic unit with incredible detail on each bike. Each bike is equipped with a pair of twin-linked dakka-guns, which usually fire long, uncontrolled bursts.
This recoil is strong enough to throw the bike backward if the throttle wasn't held wide open all the time. The Nob on the bike also gets a unique upgrade, strapping rockets to his guns for on-the-go tank destruction.
Ultimately, bikers remain Orks, so they charge straight into close combat to crash into enemies with their choppas, which become even deadlier thanks to the speed of the attack. Both sets will soon be available for pre-order: Warbikers will be released simultaneously with the "Codex: Orks," and Nobs will follow a little later.
