Remedy Entertainment has shared fresh sales results for Alan Wake 2. According to the company's financial report for the first half of 2026, the game sold over three million copies in the second quarter, with developers noting that the project continues to sell at "expected rates." Other games in the series, including Alan Wake Remastered, also show stable performance.
Despite almost three years having passed since the release of Alan Wake 2 – the game came out in late 2023 – the project remains the fastest-selling game in Remedy's history. By February 2024, sales had reached 1.3 million copies, and in February 2025, they exceeded two million.
At that time, Remedy also announced that Alan Wake 2 had fully recouped its development and marketing costs. Now, almost all subsequent revenue from the game is received by the company in the form of royalties. However, the report notes the absence of significant new accruals from platform agreements.
Remedy has released two expansions for Alan Wake 2 – Night Springs and The Lake House. The latter is particularly important for fans of the studio, as it contains hints about the events of Remedy's next major game – Control Resonant.
