First 4 Figures announced that pre-orders for a new Metroid statue from the game Metroid Prime will open on August 20, 2026. The price will only be revealed next week, but the team has already published several images and a teaser trailer.

Judging by the video and photos, the height of the painted collectible will be nine inches (22.86 cm), and it will feature a themed base.

Metroids are artificial organisms created by the bird-like humanoid race, the Chozo. These parasitic predators, composed of energy, are the dominant species on planet SR388.

They feed on the life force of their victims, yet leave all organs and blood untouched. The body of a typical Metroid consists of a jelly-like substance covered by a thick membrane.

Inside the body are three or four red, raspberry-like nuclei. Metroids have two pairs of mandibles-fangs: one for grasping the victim, and the other for sucking out its life energy.
