The creators of "Knights of Sidonia" and "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" are adapting Manabu Yashiro's manga.

Bandai Namco Filmworks has unveiled the main trailer and a new poster for the anime "Chair-Tank," and also announced the premiere date. The adaptation of Manabu Yashiro's manga of the same name will begin airing on October 4, 2026.

The action takes place on Guicheng Island, known as the most dangerous city in the world. The story centers on Nagi Taira, one of the most dangerous assassins. While protecting his younger sister Shizuka, he was shot, fell into a coma, and became confined to a wheelchair.

Soon, Shizuka discovers an unusual way to temporarily bring her brother back to consciousness: Nagi awakens when he feels a desire to kill directed at him. Hoping to fully restore her brother, the girl begins to take on the most dangerous assignments and pit him against assassins enhanced with genetic modifications.

"Chair-Tank" is produced by Polygon Pictures, which worked on "Knights of Sidonia" and the series "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man," and also participated in the creation of the anthologies "Star Wars: Visions" and "Love, Death & Robots." The directors are Tadahiro "Tady" Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando, with music by Masaru Yokoyama.
