The release of Crimson Desert on the Nintendo Switch 2 console is planned for the first half of 2027, although the final date has not yet been determined.
In its latest letter to shareholders, Pearl Abyss outlined its plans for the further development of Crimson Desert. The company intends to pursue several directions, including releasing expansions, changing its pricing strategy, and expanding the list of supported platforms.
The developers specifically focused on the Switch 2 version. According to them, the game has already reached a basic playable state on the console, but specialists are currently conducting technical tests and working on performance optimization.
However, Pearl Abyss does not want to limit itself to a simple technical adaptation of the project. The main task is to preserve the key features of Crimson Desert on Switch 2, including graphics, dynamic battles, and a seamless open world.
