In August, PlaySide studio reminded players about the project Game of Thrones: War for Westeros. This is a real-time strategy game based on the famous franchise.
The developers announced that a full gameplay presentation of the RTS will take place at Gamescom Opening Night Live (August 25). For now, they offer a small gameplay teaser – the video demonstrates "a mix of gameplay footage and in-engine cinematics."
Judging by the comments, many players liked what they saw. Some compare the Game of Thrones strategy game to the famous Lord of the Rings RTS – The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth.
In Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, players will be able to lead the armies of the Starks, Lannisters, or Targaryens, as well as command the army of the dead as the Night King. The developers previously stated that each side of the conflict offers a unique strategy, heroes, troop types, and gameplay mechanics.

Earlier this summer, PlaySide studio announced that the game's release is postponed to early 2027. The project does not yet have a specific release date.
