Marvel Studios has revealed the main cast of the new "X-Men" and set the film's premiere for May 5, 2028. The team's main antagonist, Mister Sinister, will be played by Adam Driver.
Sadie Sink has been cast as Jean Grey, Kit Connor will play Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Indi Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier.
Adam Driver joined the presentation via video link and said that he had been discussing a possible appearance in the cinematic universe with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige for several years, but a suitable character was only found now.
The director of "X-Men" will be "Thunderbolts" director Jake Schreier. The screenplay was written by Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo. The film will be the first full-length movie about the mutant team that Marvel Studios will release as part of the main cinematic universe.
