Lords of the Fallen developers addressed players in Russian - three years later, the soulslike received localization

News

In August, CI Games studio returned to Lords of the Fallen (2023). The developers presented not only an update for the soulslike but also an official translation into Russian. Previously, the localization issue was handled by the community.

CI Games addressed players in honor of the release of update 2.5.593; the announcement is also available in Russian:

Greetings, Lampbearer! Today's update includes a number of changes and improvements, including Russian localization. We paid special attention to the special attacks of boss weapons, and also made several improvements to co-op and the user interface.

The developers said that they studied player feedback and revised the conditions for unlocking special attacks of boss weapons. Now special attacks are unlocked as soon as the character meets the stat requirements to use the corresponding weapon.

Some other changes:

  • Fixed an issue where owners of the full version of the game could be moved to the beginning of the game after loading a save.
  • Fixed an issue where, after exiting a co-op session, saves could incorrectly switch from "Veteran" mode to "Legacy" mode. In some cases, if both players were playing in "Veteran" mode, after the session ended, one of the saves could switch to "Legacy" mode, preventing the player from returning to "Veteran" mode and continuing co-op.
  • Improved the message displayed when trying to purchase an item in the sanctuary that the player already owns.
