"Spider-Man: A New Day" officially surpassed the $2 billion mark three weeks after its release. The film's global box office reached $2.022 billion: approximately $785.8 million was earned in North America, and another $1.236 billion in international markets.

"A New Day" became the first solo superhero film to earn $2 billion in theaters. The film also broke the franchise's previous record, held by "Spider-Man: No Way Home" with a final gross of $1.92 billion.

The film also became Sony Pictures' highest-grossing release and the eighth film in history to cross the $2 billion mark. Ahead of it are "Avatar," "Avengers: Endgame," "Avatar: The Way of Water," "Nezha Conquers the Dragon King," "Titanic," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and "Avengers: Infinity War." However, "A New Day" is still in theaters, so the film may yet climb higher on the list of highest-grossing films in history.
