The release of Marvel’s Wolverine is approaching, and Insomniac Games is publishing new footage. Some gamers have started ridiculing the new title online. Sometimes, gameplay is compared to older games, such as Ben 10: Protector of Earth (2007) for PlayStation 2, to show the project's “formulaic” and “unoriginal” nature.
Videos are also being published showing how to “play” Marvel’s Wolverine — the creators of these videos claim that to complete the game, one simply needs to hold the stick up:
James Stevenson, Director of Communications at Insomniac Games, noticed the wave of hatred on social media. What happened made him reconsider whether to recommend that the team read comments online:
I think because of the way this algorithm [social media] wildly amplifies and pushes negativity, I'm starting to reconsider my position on whether to advise developers to look here or post anything here. It's a relentless barrage, and I don't think it's healthy for anyone's mental health and it's not representative.
Marvel’s Wolverine is expected to be released on September 15 this year for the PlayStation 5 console.
Earlier, the developers talked about a specific feature of the regeneration system — it applies not only to the main character's body.
