According to the developers, progress in Abrek will be achieved through bosses: key chapters of the story will unlock after defeating challenging bosses. They are creating "fantasy without magic": the game world is fictional, but "its tone remains physical, historical, and human, rather than supernatural."

Borzblade has a website available at the following link. The developers also publish short videos on their YouTube channel @borzblade. Currently, Abrek is "in early development." Recently, the developer showed the process of working on cloth physics – for now, it's glitchy.
