Crimson Desert Adds Quest Knowledge, "Camera Rotation," and Fixes Frame Generation on GTX 1060 - Update 1.18.00 Released
The creators of Crimson Desert returned to the game in August. Pearl Abyss studio announced the release of a full patch 1.18.00, which aims to fix some technical issues and frame generation, as well as add several new features.
The "Camera Rotation on Target Lock" option has been added – players are offered to choose one of three modes:
- Manual mode: when targeting, the camera can be rotated using the right stick or mouse.
- Semi-auto: when targeting, the camera can be rotated using the right stick or mouse only within a certain angle.
- Auto: when targeting, the camera cannot be rotated using the right stick or mouse.
In addition, "Quest Knowledge" has been added to the game. This knowledge consists of eight categories: main quests, faction quests, investigation quests, exploration quests, daily quests, guide, library records, and constellations. There's no need to start a new game – quest knowledge will be retroactively granted if the player has already completed the relevant quest.
Some other changes and improvements:
- The currency spent on research has been changed from silver to camp funds.
- Fixed various localization errors and improved text quality for all languages.
- Fixed an issue with rendering corruption on some graphics cards, including GTX 1060, when FSR or XeSS frame generation was enabled.
- Fixed an issue where the image would shake or jitter when controlling the camera under low frame rates.
- Fixed an issue where the indoor lighting effect was unstable in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where some special mounts would get stuck and unable to overcome a low ledge.
- Fixed an issue where the quick slot arrow moved unnaturally.
