A "hero" of Russian prose and drama will appear in "War of the Worlds: Siberia" - developers showed a new teaser

At a certain point, the grand piano became frequently used in various works.

Recently, the MGLA studio reminded about the project "War of the Worlds: Siberia" (or The War of the Worlds: Siberia in English localization). The developers published a short teaser showing a piece of the game world, as well as a musical instrument.

The grand piano was in the spotlight, which, as the developers noted, became an important part of culture at the end of the 19th century:

At the end of the 19th century, the grand piano became a frequent "hero" of Russian prose and drama — and not just a background, but an instrument that helps reveal characters, atmosphere, and conflicts.

As examples, they cited Tolstoy's "A Landowner's Morning" — through playing the grand piano, the writer showed the inner world of the hero, his attempt to escape from the hustle and bustle and immerse himself in reflection; and Turgenev in "A Nest of Gentlefolk" often used musical episodes to demonstrate the depth of characters' feelings.

The authors did not specify in the post whether the grand piano will simply be part of the environment, or whether players will be able to interact with it.
