Pre-order for Warhammer 40,000 Ork Miniatures and Their New Codex Opens August 22

The Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game team announced the items that users will be able to pre-order on August 22, 2026. The first codex of the new edition, dedicated to Orks, will be available for purchase.

It includes 15 detachments for combining, expanded “Waaagh!” rules, and datasheets for over 50 units. The Ork Codex also contains a code to unlock access to new rules in the Warhammer 40,000 app. This code provides a permanent subscription to regular rule updates, additional detachments, new lore, and expanded guides.

A collector's edition of this codex will also be available for purchase, featuring a hardcover with gold embossing across the cover, green foil-edged pages, and a green ribbon bookmark. A miniature of Warboss Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, armed with a 'Kustom-X-Blasta' shmalyala and a 'Moonklaw' power klaw, will be released.

A set with a regular Warboss will be available. It comes with many customization options: a custom choppa, power klaw, custom shmalyala, kombi-rokkit launcha, and kombi-flamer. Plus, it has many cosmetic options, including an attacking squig, various toppers for the back-mounted holder, and combinable head and jaw options.

An Ork Mekboy and a set with Boyz, armed with choppas, shootas, a big shmalyala, a rokkit launcha, and a flamer, will be available for purchase. A set with Bikers and a set with a Trukk, containing all sorts of customization elements, will become available. An Ork Command Pack will appear. Inside: 94 reference cards and a set of 36 double-sided tokens for tracking various rules and statuses.

A set of 16 premium dice, cast from true Ork green marbled plastic with red pips and the faction logo on the six-sided face, will be available. Some sets from the “Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon” box will be released as separate items.

Among them is Big Mek Dakkajet, possessing immense firepower. It will also be possible to purchase a Weirdboy, a Battlewagon, and a team consisting of a Nob Standard Bearer, a Bigboss, and a Painboy with his small Grot orderly.

Additionally, it will be possible to purchase a special edition of Steve Parker's “Deathwatch” book, an illustrated edition of Nate Crowley's “Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh!” book, Justin D. Hill's “Bjorn the Fell-Handed” book in hardcover and digital format, and Andy Clark's “Destroyer” book in paperback.

The aforementioned products are expected to reach store shelves on September 5, 2026.
