Almost 80% of fans want Atelier Karia's heroine to be able to gain weight

Interim results of a Gust poll showed that 78.6% of over 34,000 Atelier fans supported the idea that the heroine of the new Atelier Karia could become noticeably plumper from abundant food.

Interim results of Gust's poll on Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories have been released. Players were asked if they wanted Karia to become noticeably plumper after abundant food, as nutrition is an important part of the gameplay.

Out of 34,392 responses, 78.6% supported such a mechanic. 9.9% were against it, and another 11.6% were undecided. On social media, after the poll launched, fans also called to "make her bigger."

62.2% of participants want the ability to fix Karia's preferred body shape. 32.1% believe that it should only change depending on the amount of food consumed.

Players were also offered to choose one of eight clothing options. Dark Girly, Gothic Lolita, and Visual kei are currently leading, although the results are close.

Gust promises to take players' choices into account in the game itself and in promotional materials. The poll will run until August 23.

Atelier Karia will be released in early 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.
