"Odyssey" has already become Christopher Nolan's highest-grossing film, and is now close to taking the title of highest-grossing R-rated film from "Deadpool & Wolverine".
According to Box Office Mojo, the film earned $1.291 billion in 31 days of global release — North America accounted for $504.7 million, and other markets brought in another $786.2 million.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" finished its run with $1.338 billion, so "Odyssey" needs to earn about $47.1 million more for a new record. The film still has time to close the gap: its global release is ongoing, and in China, the film only premiered on August 14.
