New photos from the filming of the Life is Strange series for Prime Video have appeared online. In the shots published by DomTheBomb, familiar places in Arcadia Bay can be seen: the "Two Whales" diner, the waterfront, and city banners featuring the lighthouse. The Moonlight Cinema also made it into the frame, with "Groundhog Day" and "The Silence of the Lambs" listed on its marquee. The choice of films alludes to the events of the original game, whose plot will form the basis of the adaptation.
Tatum Grace Hopkins and Maisy Stella will play the main roles, portraying Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, respectively. The cast also includes Tom Cullen as teacher Mark Jefferson, Leisha Hailey as Joyce Price, Raul Castillo as David Madsen, Owen Teague as Frank Bowers, and Billy Barratt as Nathan Prescott.
Charlie Covell, writer of "The End of the F***ing World" and "Kaos," serves as showrunner and head writer. Karin Kusama ("Jennifer's Body") will direct the first two episodes. Production is handled by Amazon MGM Studios, Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and Margot Robbie's company LuckyChap.
Filming for Life is Strange began on June 29 and is expected to conclude on October 16, 2026. The premiere date on Prime Video has not yet been announced.
