Guy Gardner Takes Over the DC Universe - Nathan Fillion to Appear in "Mister Miracle" Series

News 0

Nathan Fillion will return to the role of Guy Gardner in the animated series "Mister Miracle." The actor's participation was confirmed by the project's writer and executive producer, Tom King:

"We brought Nathan into 'Mister Miracle,' and it's just wonderful working with him. He brings that energy to everything he does. You might think the tone of the project is very different from 'Lanterns,' but Guy fits perfectly into it. He's always defiant — each of us knows someone like that."

Fillion first played Green Lantern in James Gunn's "Superman" and then reprised the role in the second season of "Peacemaker." The actor can currently be seen in the series "Lanterns," which premiered on August 16, and Gardner will later appear in the film "Superman: Legacy." "Mister Miracle" will be the fifth project in the revamped DC Universe featuring the character.

"Mister Miracle" is positioned as an animated series for an adult audience. It will tell the story of Scott Free and his wife Big Barda, who try to lead a quiet life on Earth until the war between Apokolips and New Genesis reaches them. Darkseid will play an important role in the plot, but the actor who will voice him has not yet been announced. Tom King promised that the choice would surprise fans.

The production is handled by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation. James Gunn previously confirmed that the events of "Mister Miracle" will be part of the main DCU canon, despite the animated format.

The premiere date for "Mister Miracle" has not yet been announced.
