"Kinopoisk" announced the start of filming for the science fiction series "Through Thorns to the Stars," based on Kir Bulychev's novel "The Village." Along with the announcement, the first shots were released:

The action unfolds in 2234. After a space expedition crash, several dozen people found themselves on an unknown Earth-like planet No. 934. Over the years, the survivors built a Village and had children who had never seen Earth. The only hope for salvation remains the crashed ship: the colonists must reach it and try to contact Earth. Previous expeditions to the crash site have already cost many of them their lives.

Meanwhile, the research ship "Magellan" enters the planet's orbit. Its crew is searching for a new world for colonization due to Earth's overpopulation and does not suspect that people have been living on No. 934 for several decades. Both groups will have to move towards each other, overcoming the dangers of the unfamiliar planet and their own fears.

The series is being produced for "Kinopoisk" by "Mediaslovo" with the support of Roscosmos. The main roles will be played by Denis Shvedov, Maria Andreeva, Alexandra Bortich, Sergey Gilev, Polina Tsyganova, Ilya Vinogorsky, and David Sokratyan. Karina Chuvikova, who previously directed the series "Between Us Chemistry," is the director and screenwriter.

"Through Thorns to the Stars" will consist of six episodes. The premiere date has not yet been announced.
