Gaming monitors will be the next to increase in price. Manufacturers can no longer cope with costs
KTC and AOC manufacturers have warned of an imminent increase in the price of gaming monitors due to rising component costs and a shortage of DRAM and NAND.
Gaming monitors are the next category of electronics facing price increases. Manufacturers KTC and AOC have warned of rising prices due to increasing component costs and memory shortages.
KTC, which accounts for about 17% of the global mini-LED monitor market, stated that it can no longer independently cover the rising costs.
Due to the continued global increase in prices for key components, the cost of monitor production has significantly increased, and we can no longer independently withstand this pressure.
The company is currently negotiating with suppliers, so specific models and timing of the increase have not been announced. KTC advises those who planned to purchase a monitor in the near future not to delay it.

AOC has already notified distributors about price adjustments starting in August. The reasons cited are increased costs for panels, components, power electronics, and manufacturing.
The increase in costs is associated with a shortage of DRAM and NAND, which arose due to high demand from AI infrastructure. Previously, RAM, SSDs, and other equipment had already increased in price due to this. Now, the price increase has reached monitors.
