Remedy Entertainment announced the completion of Control Resonant's development — the game has officially "gone gold." This means that the main version of the project is ready for certification on target platforms. At the same time, the developers are likely continuing to work on a day-one patch, striving to ensure the highest quality launch.
The physical edition of Control Resonant, however, will be released later than the digital version. Its release has been postponed to October 15 — Remedy explained the delay by the need for additional time to prepare the discs. The studio urged players not to worry and assured that "nothing stays sealed forever."
Control Resonant will be released on September 24 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The events will unfold seven years after the original Control. The Federal Bureau of Control has been destroyed, and paranormal entities have broken free and spread across Manhattan. Jesse Faden has disappeared, so this time the main character will be her brother Dylan, who must deal with the consequences of the catastrophe.
