Metal Gear Solid 4 Lost PlayStation 3. Konami Changed the Switch Version

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 is not yet on sale, but fans have already discovered the first difference between the game versions.

It seems Konami has removed one of the most recognizable PS3 references from the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 editions.

Players studying the collection's manual noticed that in one scene aboard the Nomad ship, the PS3 console, which stood on a table next to the characters, disappeared. Its place was taken by GA-KO figurines.

However, the PS3 is still present in the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions. This suggests that the change only applies to the Nintendo console editions.

Fans are already discussing whether Konami will also change Otacon's famous line:

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 will be released on Switch on August 27, 2026. The collection will include Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the first time on Nintendo consoles.
