The team is expected to return to work in late September.

In late July, Joe and Anthony Russo stated that they were finishing work on "Avengers: Doctor Doom" and simultaneously preparing for the production of the next installment.

"We are deeply immersed in finishing 'Doctor Doom': adding the final touches, working on the music with Alan Silvestri, and mixing the sound. At the same time, we are preparing 'Secret Wars'. It's a challenging but exciting period of our lives."

When asked about the timeline, Joe Russo replied that filming would begin "so soon that we're already sweating a little." Judging by new data, the wait was indeed short.

The British publication Filmbase, which tracks the production of local film projects, reports that work on "Avengers: Secret Wars" has already begun in the UK. However, almost immediately after the start, the entire film crew was sent on a five-week break.

The reason for the pause is not specified. The team is expected to return to work in late September. Marvel Studios has not yet officially announced the start of the main filming period, so it is unknown whether the Russo brothers managed to start shooting scenes directly or if it is still about preparatory work.

It is also unclear whether the five-week pause will affect the further schedule. The premiere of "Avengers: Secret Wars" is still scheduled for December 17, 2027.
