VIZ Media has announced a special presentation, Naruto: What's Next?, which will take place on October 10 at New York Comic Con 2026. A countdown to the panel has already been launched on the official website, promising to unveil the "Naruto" development roadmap and discuss future projects of the franchise.
Earlier, TV Tokyo Holdings announced that the 25th anniversary of the original anime would mark the beginning of a new phase for "Naruto." Starting in 2027, new animated content and video games are planned for release, created in collaboration with third-party partners. Apparently, the first details of these projects may be revealed at the October presentation.
Fans are also awaiting news on the fate of already announced projects. "Boruto" has been on hiatus since March 2023, and four special episodes of the original "Naruto," which Studio Pierrot postponed for quality improvement, still have not received a new release date.
The presentation will feature Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama, the Japanese voice actors for Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, respectively. The panel will begin at midnight on October 11, Moscow time.
