David Harbour Urges Christopher Nolan to Direct a World of Warcraft Movie

David Harbour wants Christopher Nolan to take on a World of Warcraft adaptation. The star of "Stranger Things" and the Marvel Cinematic Universe shared his dream in an interview with Variety. According to the actor, the potential of this universe has not been fully utilized yet:

"I always felt like the potential of the Warcraft universe was underutilized. It's no worse than Greek myths or 'The Odyssey.' Come on, Chris Nolan, I want to see your version of World of Warcraft."

Harbour himself is a big fan of role-playing games. He especially enjoys projects where he can spend hours delving into character stats, calculating damage, and understanding other numbers. Currently, for example, the actor is playing Path of Exile 2.

Meanwhile, Blizzard is indeed thinking about new adaptations. Company president Johanna Faries previously stated that they are discussing adaptations of almost all their game universes, although no specific projects have been announced yet.

The first and so far only Warcraft movie was released in 2016. Duncan Jones' film grossed $439 million on a budget of about $160 million, but it never received a sequel.
