Anya Taylor-Joy shared her impressions of working on "Dune: Part Three," where the actress will fully portray Alia Atreides. According to her, the filming not only met but exceeded her expectations:
"Dune: Part Three" was everything I hoped for. I only have the warmest words for Denis [Villeneuve]. I learned so much. On set, I wanted to be a sponge and absorb everything – the atmosphere and what it's like to lead with love.
Taylor-Joy was particularly impressed by the film crew's attitude towards Villeneuve. According to the actress, even difficult conditions did not prevent the production participants from giving their all:
It was incredibly inspiring to be in those harsh conditions and realize that everyone was doing their job to the best of their abilities because they believed in, trusted, and adored the person in charge.
Taylor-Joy debuted as Alia in "Dune: Part Two," where she only appeared briefly. In the sequel, her character will have significantly more screen time. Timothée Chalamet has already highly praised his colleague's work, calling Alia "captivating, incredible, terrifying, and stunning."
The full theatrical release of "Dune: Part Three" begins on December 18, 2026, with select premium IMAX screenings starting four days earlier, on December 14.
