Josh Keaton confirmed that he voiced Eddie Brock in the second season of the animated series "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man". The actor did this on behalf of his character and also joked about fans who didn't recognize Brock in the clip shown at D23:
"You might have caught a glimpse of me in the 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' clip. Although, how could you miss such a jawline and eyebrows? See you in season two.
Eddie Brock"
For Keaton, this is a kind of change of sides. For many years, the actor voiced Peter Parker himself, and he gained the most fame in this role in the animated series "The Spectacular Spider-Man". Later, he reprised his version of the hero in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" and several Marvel games — from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions to the fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
Eddie Brock's appearance will coincide with the debut of the symbiote. In the clip shown at D23, it takes over Peter Parker's body and transforms his red and blue suit into black. Now Keaton's involvement directly hints at the appearance of Venom, although it is not yet known whether Brock will transform into him in the second season.
The second season of "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" will be released on Disney+ in January 2027.
