Netflix unveiled a new teaser for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" and confirmed the premiere date. All ten episodes of the second season will be released on October 20, 2026.
The sequel will tell the story of a new team of mercenaries from Night City and will not be connected to the first season's plot. The main characters will be veteran solo Wick, netrunner Dee, cinephile Roman Carax, and Talia, who is associated with the Maelstrom gang.
Netflix describes the second season as a story of revenge and redemption in a city where violence has become a spectacle. The heroes will have to decide how far they are willing to go to make others hear their story.
Production is once again handled by Studio Trigger and CD Projekt RED. Bartosz Sztybor from CD Projekt RED serves as showrunner, writer, and producer, while Kai Ikarashi, who worked on the sixth episode of the first season, is the director. Character design is by Ichigo Kanno ("Promare"), and the music will be composed by Tsuneo Imahori ("Trigun", "Gungrave").
