Netflix has unveiled a character trailer for the second season of "Sakamoto Days." The video introduces three new characters: Taro Sakamoto's former mentor, Etsuko Satoda, student Amane Yotsumura, and his father, Satoru Yotsumura.
In the second season, Sakamoto and Shin will go undercover at JCC, a Japanese academy for assassins. The heroes will attempt to gather information about the mysterious Slur, also known as X. Meanwhile, Nagumo, Shishiba, and Osaragi from ORDER will embark on a mission in Kyoto, where they will fall into an ambush. As events unfold, viewers will uncover the pasts of Sakamoto, Nagumo, Rion, and Slur.
TMS Entertainment will continue to be responsible for production. Daisuke Nakajima has taken over as director for the second season, replacing Masaki Watanabe. However, Watanabe will remain with the team as chief director. Yo Moriyama is once again in charge of character design, and Taku Kishimoto is composing the series' music.
The second season of "Sakamoto Days" will be released exclusively on Netflix in January 2027.
