"Expelled from Paradise" to Get Visual Novel Sequel - The Stellar Angel Teaser Released

News 0

Toei Animation has unveiled a teaser for the visual novel Expelled from Paradise: The Stellar Angel by Studio51 and announced its release date. The game will be a sequel to the 2014 anime film "Expelled from Paradise" and will be released on Steam for PC and Nintendo Switch on November 26, 2026.

The events of The Stellar Angel will unfold after the original film's finale. In 2400, Angela Balzac turned away from the virtual world of DEVA and continues to live on Earth's surface with Dingo. Meanwhile, a new life form, paraflora, begins to take over the planet. Giant worms appear in the infected zones, and traces of the threat lead to Svarga – a city in the desert abandoned after an epidemic. A DEVA agent who stole the secret Grey Goo file with data on Nanohazard is also heading there.

The game will feature a K2 choice system that will influence Angela Balzac's emotional development. Players' decisions will determine the further development of the story and lead to multiple endings, including irreversible outcomes.

Screenwriter Shotaro Teshirogi, who previously wrote the prequel novel Expelled from Paradise: mission.0, said he wanted to create a sci-fi adventure that fans could fully immerse themselves in:

"My goal was to create a story that allows you to fully immerse yourself in a pure sci-fi adventure. I sincerely hope you enjoy it."

Separately, Toei Animation is preparing a full-length sequel, Expelled from Paradise: Resonance. The film will tell the story of DEVA agents' mission on Earth, related to the "Fallen" deserter group and Angela's rebellion. Its premiere in Japan will take place on November 13, 2026.
