Playable GTA VI Build Threatened to Be Leaked if Anything Happens to Hacker
Recently, a hacker (or group) Cyberleek has been actively distributing gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto VI online. Authorities are trying to find the perpetrator, and their capture might create even bigger problems.
A statement from Cyberleek has appeared online. It claims that the hacker has a full playable build. The necessary files have allegedly already been copied and placed in several locations, so the publisher will not be able to seize everything:
Copies are on drives and servers all over the world, in places Take-Two cannot reach. There is nothing left to seize. There is no server to seize.
Cyberleek threatens to publish the files if anything happens to the hacker – a plan has been prepared for this eventuality. The release of the GTA VI build is already scheduled, but it is currently being regularly canceled:
If anything happens to [Cyberleek], if he misses even one morning, the “release cancellation” will stop. No one will have to press anything. The scheduled release will simply stop being canceled, and within a few days, GTA VI will launch on the PCs of millions of gamers worldwide.
On August 27, Rockstar Games itself is expected to showcase GTA VI – a presentation will take place on Netflix.
The official release of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19 this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not yet announced the release date or release window for the PC version of the game.
