Playground Games published a new short Fable teaser before the start of Gamescom 2026. One of the last frames of the video unexpectedly attracted special attention from players: it features an updated heroine with an appearance noticeably different from the one shown in the game's first trailers.
Speculation quickly arose on social media that the developers might have changed the heroine's face after criticism from some of the audience. Some users even joked that "Asha heard the fans' complaints" and made the character look more attractive.
Some commentators also noted that players themselves create the appearance of the main character in Fable, so the specific face used in the project's advertising campaign is not particularly important.
