A hybrid of "roguelike" and city-building simulator about creating tiny metropolises has been released on Steam
In Combolands: Roguelike Citybuilder, you'll have to create metropolises within "runs."
At the end of August, Crux Games studio announced the PC release on Steam of Combolands: Roguelike Citybuilder (or "City-building Sim-Roguelike").
The new game is positioned as a miniature "city-building sim-roguelike." Players are invited to build cities and uncover deep strategy within "short runs." The mechanics of Combolands: Roguelike Citybuilder will allow players to create mini-metropolises — you'll be able to place buildings, upgrade "powerful synergies," and unleash combos.
The developers have created several guilds that unlock as you play. Each of them will have a unique character, strengths, and weaknesses. In each run, players can choose two different guilds and start on a fresh procedural map. The main goal is: "to grow a real thriving metropolis from a village!"
The Combolands: Roguelike Citybuilder page on Steam is available at the following link. Until August 31, the game will have a 20% release discount. Initial reviews of the game are positive, with the rating currently holding at 100%.
The peak online players on release day exceeded 1,000 and continues to increase.
