Over its fourth weekend, "Spider-Man: A New Day" earned another $109 million. Of this, $39 million came from the US and Canada, and $70 million from other markets. As a result, the film's global box office reached $2.22 billion, allowing it to surpass "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" with $2.07 billion and climb to sixth place among the highest-grossing films in history.
Now, "A New Day" is about $40 million short of "Titanic" with its $2.26 billion. Following that is the Chinese animated film "Nezha Conquers the Dragon King" ($2.27 billion), while the top three are "Avatar: The Way of Water" ($2.32 billion), "Avengers: Endgame" ($2.8 billion), and "Avatar" ($2.92 billion).
In North America, "A New Day" earned $854.9 million and ranks third in the history of local box office. Another $4 million will allow it to surpass "Avengers: Endgame" ($858.3 million) and climb to second place. The record is still held by "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" with $936.6 million.
