007 First Light to become more beautiful: date of major graphics update announced

IO Interactive has announced the release date for an update to 007 First Light, which will add path tracing and ray reconstruction as part of DLSS 4.5 to the game.

Although the new James Bond game has looked impressive since its release, the developers did not hide the fact that it has not yet shown the full extent of its graphical capabilities. This will change with the introduction of NVIDIA's light behavior simulation technology.

007 First Light will receive path tracing on September 15, 2026. Along with it, ray reconstruction will be added to the game as part of the already available DLSS 4.5 technology. The update should significantly improve the game's visuals and unlock the potential of high-performance gaming PCs.
